After successfully relaunching 'SLA Industries 2nd Edition' on Kickstarter last year, it is time to expand the World of Progress with a further three sourcebooks:
Latest Updates from Our Project:
New Art, Salute, Medals...

Pledge Manager
Firstly a quick note to say that we expect to have the Pledge Manager up and running by the end of the month. When BackerKit and CrowdOx merged last year they decided to stop use of CrowdOx. This was our preferred platform. Mark has been wading through the new process, platforms and its quirks. It's not quite as intuitive than CrowdOx, but he is getting close.
ENnie Award Winning Game
This week SLA Industries received its ENnie medal. It's a beaut.
Metal Dice Design
Our new Dice and Tins are in production and should be with us in early Feb:
New Art
We have two new pieces for you to enjoy:
Salute 2020 in 2021
Mark, Zak and Garry manned the Word Forge Games stand, where among other games SLA Industries took centre stage.
It was a good show. There were a few no-show exhibitors and fewer punters, but otherwise really rather good. The boys had fun and thanks to them all for doing it!

New Art: 'Cannibal Fleshbag'
Progress:
The metal dice and tins are now in manufacture and we are expecting final product in January.
Dave is continuing to work through the art and writing. And although the statuses haven't changed much here there is a lot moving forward.
Dave and Jared are spending the weekend together as chillout. This time will no doubt involve a beer or three and various discussions on SLA, which, if previous sessions of this ilk are to go by, is good news for every fan of SLA. They are also going to working through our 'hobbie time project': Demon Dog (see below).
Demon Dog: a Mörk Borg compatible Game by Nightfall Games
I don't know what you do in your down time, but Dave does more art, and over the last few months, rather than read or play on a console, the man has been tinkering away, inspired by the awesome Mork Borg RPG and his love of monsters and punk music. He has come up with something rather epic....Demon Dog.
Jared and Mark are very excited by this and have been discussing the evolving idea a lot both with Dave and each other. Dave has inspired both to put down their controllers and help drive this project to fruition. This weekend (as mentioned above) D and J are meeting up to further thrash out the story and rules for this, and once that's done and with a large chunk of Dave's art already completed...we have a product (and a very beautiful one at that) ready to go live:
'Nightfall Games presents Demon Dog, a punk tale of revenge and redemption.
You died, you made a deal and you're back. Sure, you had to make a pact with the devil, or one of them at least, but it's worth it for revenge. Stick two fingers up to the zealots and burn their shit down, skewer the taxman, kick the guards in the bollocks, spit on your own grave.
Punks, not dead.'
Sourcebook Focus: Cannibal Sector 1

Progress:
Over the last two weeks we have got the ball rolling on various things. Dave has sent out new art commissions and has himself being arting away. To the point we are now at 49 completed arts for Collateral and another 22 are in process.
Jared has been organising the Dice tins and metal dice ready for manufacture and Mark has being doing the same for the All Rolled Up!s and Dice Trays.
Product Focus: Cannibal Sector 1
As many of you know 'Cannibal Sector 1' was the first book created by new Nightfall Games, when the current team came together in 2018. This book is the biggest SLA book ever and, being honest, nothing will ever be as big (it's something like 340 pages!!!) again.
The Nightfall team worked really hard on the book and it is a beaut, choked full of art and an insane amount of writing. We were very much in our infancy company-wise and finances were not anything like they are now, so we had a sufficient print run for the book. Unfortunately there was an error in manufacture that meant that around 1/10th of what we had printed were unsellable.
Now we find ourself in a position where the book is running low on stock. We have around 100 copies left, which I'm sure will be enough for those that want it from this KS, but given it is a 1st Edition product (albeit with free conversion PDF), we won't be reprinting.
I thought it would be worth sharing a few of the art pieces included:
In the book there is around another 200 pieces of art.
If you want to get a copy of this book before it disappears to the eons of time, get on the pledge manager quickly and select it as an optional add on.
Status and Progress Report 1

Hi Everyone
Project Status:
This is our first proper update since the Kickstarter completed, so we wanted to give you some clarity on where we are at and let you know our plans to update you as the project progresses:
1. The money for your pledge rewards have been collected. We have lost approximately 14 dropped backers to a value of £1025.
2. Kickstarter normally take around 14 days to release the funds to us so I would expect it to hit our bank account by the end of this week (may be early next)
3. We will spend the next few weeks preparing Backerkit for the Management of your Pledge. This is where you can define what you have pledged for, what extra items you may want, define your address and pay for extras and postage.
4. Our intention will be to update you approximately fortnightly (every 2 weeks), but sometimes this may slip a little due to vacations or personal issues - if it does please hold the hassling until at least 4 weeks have past.
Project Progress
As with all our projects to date (and a fair few now of people who have copied us) we share a simple excel of the projects progress.
For our first SLA project we started the KS with little in place beforehand, whereas now we had a lot in place. Our intention of the years is to get further and further ahead of the game, to the point that most of the project is done before the launch button is even pressed.
For this KS, here's where we are at.
Good things this time round is that Dave is full time. Meaning instead of 10-20 hrs a week of his spare time we are now getting at least 40 hrs. Mark too is full time, although his focus is on our other projects (The Terminator RPG and Stokerverse RPG). His input on SLA is smaller than last time, but still significant. As of next month Benn Graybeaton (Infinity RPG, Conan RPG, and a whole lot more) joins our team as our S5S guru and project lead for some of our yet to be disclosed projects. And of course we have a Jared, who is our wizz at layout and a cornerstone of the SLA world and its creation since near-inception.
A couple of things to point out:
During the KS and as we unlocked more and more for Hunter Sheets Data Files 1, Dave created the art for many of the unlocks, hence where we are at.
All Items listed as Ready are items we had bought in advance or are stock in our warehouse. It is possible that we will need to reorder on some of them, but this will become clearer as we progress through the Pledge Manager.
Ebb & Flow
The second SLA Fanzine, "Ebb & Flow" is currently on Kickstarter and is doing exceptionally well. If it is anything like the first one by Tanya, it's a must have for any SLA Fan
New Art
One of the NPC arts, can you guess which one?

Wow! £70000 on the nose…amazing.
Thank you all so much.
Also big thank you to Jonny Hodgson for helping out with this one!
Over the next few weeks we will continue work on all the books.
